I have a love/hate relationship with this guy, honestly. I’ve only known him well for nine months, but we’ve known each other since the beginning of 2009.
Whether you call him Seb, Bastian (he hates that), Sebby or Kenken… I initially thought his name was “The Guy Who Keeps Staring At My Screen”. Obviously the first thought of him being an idiot. He would constantly look at my laptop screen whenever he was near me.
How we started talking to each other is pretty amusing – well, no. It was a little like destiny. We were somehow in the same class. Dun dun dun. Okay, maybe that was just coincidental. I was perfectly fine being alone in my class with no friends, you know?
Okay, I’m just joking. But I did not see a quiet fool and a girl into Ragdoll Masters becoming such quick friends.
I was so totally wrong. A friendship blossomed which was all too weird to be true.
“It started with a cup of garlic sauce”. (Wait until you see bb’s book in future. It will blow your brains because he’s that good a writer.)
We went through this downward spiral of emotion together (it’s a long story, honestly), at the same time finding infinite similar interests.
But we are two different people, and I keep forgetting that. Sebastian is like a brother to me, and very much like my second brain. I’m so indecisive, and often I will turn to him to make a decision for me. He seems to be there every time I need a friend, and no, not by flying over in his godforsaken nonexistent TARDIS. Still, I treasure our friendship because after endless arguments I realise that the truth is, it would suck if he weren’t my friend.
Yes, we’ve had too many arguments, including one huge fight that left me in tears. I daresay that he was overreacting, but I think we know each other a little too well to start further arguments over who is the bigger douche. Because like every other argument about who is more awesome, there’s never a winner.
I’m the douche this time round. :P
Really though, he makes me smile, and realise that despite the shit happenings in life there’s music that plays, louder and louder until you reach the end of the tunnel, where there is light.
And sushi.
