#8: Ryan

Ryan has no blog for me to mention in the title of this post. Ah well. :3 He can be special and not have one.
Ryan is the nicest person I have ever met. It is peculiarly hard to describe him in words, but he is tall. I’m ridiculously short, and perhaps he is ridiculously tall.
So at the beginning, as I usually think, I thought Ryan was weird. And trust me, I think everyone is weird. I honestly thought I should stop judging books by their covers, but I still do it time and time again and undeniably, that is just human nature. It is human nature to classify things.
Now I’m sitting here being nocturnal, writing about one of my closest friends. No, I’m not insane at all. Anyway, tangents…
I really admire Ryan. I suppose you could say I look up to him, but when you think about the fact that he is nearly twice my height, that is no pun intended, and no, I do not think that is funny. I admire Ryan because he’s intelligent, polite, caring, friendly, humourous, and sincere. I mean, no one’s perfect, but Ryan is probably pretty close to. Ezio and I are still on a mission to find Ryan a new hobby and to stop him from being too polite – such is the case of Ryan’s Unanswered Email, a little story about how as a mentor, Ryan received no responses from his mentorees – but we’re failing that mission so far.
Ryan is just Ryan. He genuinely cares for people. He’s a fantastic friend and I always approach him about anything general, because he just knows his way around. He’ll probably end up being a librarian in the future – same thing as he is now, but that’s just how I imagine him. He’s incredibly organised, need I repeat the world intelligent? and he’s just hard-working and dedicated to what he does.
He’s nice to everyone. Genuinely nice. Never fake nice like those idiotic people you might come across in your day-to-day duties. Ryan makes me smile all the time. We’ve got our ridiculous Plushie Force jokes and arguments over the word ‘THAT’, and ah, the times we’ve had. The times I’ve yelled at him in the elevator. Said unreasonable stupid things.
The times I was sad, and he reminded me of those times we had. He’s cheered me up when I’m down, he’s logical, reasonable, and just an all-round nice guy. I feel like I can tell him anything because he understands everything, and he isn’t biased. He looks at situations the way they should be looked at. And that’s what I admire in him. He’s got qualities that regular human beings ought to have, but don’t, because we are so fazed and broken by society.
He’s probably quietly reading this, if at all. Ryan knows everything. Heck, he isn’t a stalker, ja, but he’s knowledgeable. He’s always in the loop. Well, perhaps not always. He has his lost moments. But he’s probably snooped my blog posts, as usual. :P
Can’t thank you enough for all your kindness and generosity, Ryan. ♥
