Not bothered to find the best

I almost wish I hadn’t started my A Thousand Roses project, but look, I’ve started and gotten myself into this rut. At least I’m nearly 20% done, though those nearly-200 roses were accumulated over the course of five years.

I did have to cut down a great deal of the photographs. Without cutting down I would have had about 300 or more now. The thing is, I intelligently cut down on photographs because many of them were of the same rose or, obviously the same rose, but from a different point of view. I don’t really want to cheat and post those, so I’m actually willingly on the hunt for roses around my neighbourhood and such, or waiting for new roses to grow in our garden.

I will totally get to 1000. Just wait and see!

I don’t know what to do after that; what I’ll do with my Flickr account and such. I was thinking of doing “A Thousand Clouds” or something just as ridiculous, but I think it may just kill me. I like the community aspect of Flickr but I’d much rather maintain my own photoblog. I don’t really want to bother finding my best pieces of work. I feel like if it ever comes to that, I’ll just post them in the one place but it won’t be Flickr. I don’t know – my photoblog kind of already serves as that.

I suppose my Flickr account will become dormant afterwards.

A sock rolls off my bed

Gathering my clothes from the bathroom to my room, I put my clothes on the bed. A rolled-up sock hangs from the leg of the pants I am carrying. It rolls off my bed and drops onto the carpet.
