monochromatic – one hue, varying in saturation and brightness
analogous or blend – hues adjacent to each other on the colour wheel
complementary – two hues directly opposite each other on the colour wheel
split-complementary – one hue on one side of the colour wheel, and the two hours adjacent to its complement
triadic – three hues equidistant from each other on the colour wheel
double-complementary or rectangular-tetradic – two hues and their complements
square-tetradic – four hues equidistant from each other on the colour wheel
analogous-complementary – two complementary hues, and an adjacent hue of one of their complements
neutral – muted colours
accented – muted colours, with one colour high in saturation
warm – colours from the top of the colour wheel, with hues ranging from 271 degrees to 90 degrees
cold – colours from the bottom of the colour wheel, with hues ranging from 91 degrees to 270 degrees
