I want to murder this song so bad. Since seeing it in Adjusting The Sails… I just want to rip my teary eyes out. I’m not kidding. The whole video — just — fuck. No short film has ever done this so badly to me. It wasn’t perfect, the music could have faded out better, the beginning could have been a little stronger, but it was a fucking awesome film, and Ryan Higa, I fucking love you.
Maybe even if he wasn’t crying in that freakin’ scene, maybe if I didn’t like him as much as I do — he’s still a freakin’ fantastic writer. We’re all used to his comedy, and seeing this was heart-ripping. The little things, like the phone, the emotions: let me just say that everyone rocked the hell out of the film in terms of acting. And let me just say that even though it was imperfect, it was done in this way that still evoked this kind of bleeding emotion.
Yeah, many songs make me cry. For numerous reasons. One day I’ll make a playlist out of them, and file through them day by day, seeing if I still cry.
Songs are amazing, beautiful things. I swear.
