Monthly Goals: January 2011

Saturday 1st January, 2011 - 4:39pm with 12 comments

Happy new year! :D To start the year I’m going to set some goals for this month. It’s going to be crazy but I’m going to try and do something like this every month of the year! There are ten things in this list, but some of them are ‘ongoing’, so I may complete parts of them as the month goes by. There are going to be ten things in every list.

I will rejoice if I actually do all of this in January, at least. Everyone keep an eye on this post. ;)

  1. Revamp three fanlistings. (3/3)
  2. Write ten tutorials for Heartdrops.org. (10/10)
  3. Read five new books. (5/5)
  4. Finish watching series three of Doctor Who. (14/14 episodes)
  5. Write twenty poems. (20/20)
  6. Sleep before 12:00am on 25 days. (25/25)
  7. Sleep before 11:00pm on 10 days. (10/10)
  8. Write three songs, lyrics only. (3/3)
  9. Reach 15,000 words in my novel. (5450/5450)
  10. Write a new list for February by the 30th January 2010, midnight.

(Please note that 6 and 7 are not mutually exclusive. ie. I can sleep before 11:00pm and cross off one each of 6 and 7.)

If I fail any of these, I should complete them by the 5th of the next month, ie. 5th February 2010, otherwise they will be included in February’s goals.

When you finish your novel, would you share the title?

@Mike, I actually don’t have a title for it yet which is why it’s untitled. I wouldn’t mind sharing just the title though, once I come up with it. :)
