This is where we met

I got to see Ben Jorgensen in a show in Sydney last week. It was amazing. I wish Armor For Sleep had come here before they broke up. They didn’t, but I will never forget that as a group they played and performed some of the greatest songs I will ever know. They might not have run through into the mainstream, but people knew them. And I think people will know that Ben Jorgensen started something that was truly inspirational.
Armor’s music was so full of emotion, so deep. It wasn’t that catchy auto-tuned garbage that you now hear on the radio. It wasn’t just an expression of feelings. It told a story. It was true, soulful music. Every note and every chord; every sound and every word.
Ben still writes amazing music. Just because it’s a different style doesn’t mean I’ll ever stop loving it. He is still amazingly talented. He still writes, still plays, still sings. He still pours his heart out through his words and music to the people who care to listen. I won’t forget that.
Maybe it did all start with Armor. But I’m telling you now, it doesn’t end with Armor.
